Detroit City is a sculpture born of another sculpture, destroyed and reborn into a new work. Like the City, this work rises up from decay, ready for new life. The techniques and processes used to create this piece reflect industrial processes that show like scars but also reveal the hidden beauty of its materials.

This sculpture is a small, wall-hung bronze that speaks of the forever cycle of war.  It's weary armor, ragged teeth and inherent blindness are symbols of my lifelong belief that warlike violence holds our species back, preventing us from our birth right as care takers of this planet and of each other.
